Its the last few days of the Brooks Brothers Summer clearance event and there are still plenty of great deals to be had. The best part is, the designs are classic and you’ll be wearing them until they fall apart.
We love the madras patchwork shirts, just $39.75 and still great for Fall.

The Bryant Park Summer Film Festival continues tonight at sunset with a screening of Paper Moon (1973), which won Tatum O’Neal an Oscar, the youngest winner ever.
The film tells the story of a Depression-era Bible salesman and the young girl he takes under his wing and crafts into an accomplice in his scams. Really, not as horrifying as it sounds.Free to the public, get there way early. No chairs or plastic sheets, please.

Kate Moss for Roberto Cavalli
June 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Driving under the influence.
Roberto Cavalli has just revealed the images of top model Kate Moss and her crackwhore jailbait boyfriend Pete Doherty for the designer’s upcoming print campaign. Shot in Ibiza by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot (why does it take two?), the images show Doherty as a young Marlon Brando wooing Moss.
“They are both iconic. Free spirits with a strong personality. Stylish, contemporary and a very intense couple,” said Cavalli to Vogue UK.
Cavalli said that only Moss was booked for the shoot, but he was won over by Doherty’s “enthusiasm and charm.” His what?!

We Did It First

Don’t you hate when you come up with something that you think is totally original and then you see it in a shop window or a catalog? It happens to us all the time and we’ve begun to wonder if there may be a J. Crew spy following us around all day.
First, J. Crew totally stole our idea of cutting off their embroidered critter chinos. We love embroidered critter anything, but the pants looked too stuffy. Scissors, a snip and a run thrugh the wash, and you’ve got subversive preppy slob-wear.
Now J. Crew is pushing the cutoff camp shorts. Dagnabit, we did this just a few months ago (during one of those weird winter heat waves we had)! Our Army camp pants we’re looking beat and our summer gear was in storage, so shorts they became. Between you and me, they were a whole lot cheaper than the J. Crew “originals.”
