If you’ve been by the windows at the Bergdorf Goodman men’s store, you may have noticed a fetching black seersucker tuxedo jacket with satin lapels by an overpriced designer who shall remain nameless. Not in our budget, that’s for sure.
We love black seersucker– so traditional, but without the carnival-barker-Southern-lawyer feel. I declare!
Imagine our surprise when, on our daily visit to the Gap, we found a black seersucker sportcoat. No satin lapels, but for just $88, who needs them?
Just promise that you won’t wear it with black jeans and a striped shirt like the Gap has shown it. Try it with a white oxford button down shirt, flat front khakis (slim, of course) and black loafers. Very Helmut Lang!
