The forecast calls for a nor’easter with torential downpours, so maybe we’ll keep this weekend low-key. Rain or shine, we can’t ever stay in the house too long, so we’ve come up with a few little adventures to keep the cabin fever away.

The Museum of Television and Radio has an incredible Bob Mackie exhibition of his work for entertainer Mitzi Gaynor. Mackie is the king of glitz and glamour and will surely brighten the cloudy day.

Check out the monthly Housing Works warehouse sale in Long Island City. Its worth the trek– we scored vintage Levi’s and a mint condition YSL blazer at the last sale. Anything and everything you can fit in a brown paper bag for $20. Housing Works

Grab the new Time Out New York Eat Out Awards issue and try a new place for dinner. Doesn’t the delivery guy from your corner deli deserve a night off, especially in the rain? Time Out New York
